Any of you bitches been cooking, grilling or smoking???

Personally, I love to cook, almost as much as I love to eat.

Anyway, last week I did 3 racks of baby backs. (not well documented.)

Grilled steaks last night including a dino-ribeye!

Started yesterday but actually baked this morning, some sourdough.

These loaves were 50% whole wheat, 50% unbleached white. Really good bread, but a bit heavier than I like. Wife and youngest kid love this stuff tho.

I smoked a brisket over night. I got up at 5:00 and pulled it off the kamodo. I've got it wrapped in foil and towels in a cooler. I'll take some pics when I slice it.

Chicken and vegetables, so uh, wheres the actual food?

Those giant ass ribeyes were a promotion deal Sam's Club ran a week or so back. Seemed like it took forever to hit an IT of 130 degrees. It was more than I could eat, the dogs loved me that night. It was funny watching my beagle carry around that giant beef rib bone.

Yeah its no joke brother. Dr. said I was pre-diabetic type 2. Did a shit ton of research and decided I didn't want to manage it with pills and eventually injections. Decided to reverse it through diet and weight loss and other lifestyle choices. Mainly focusing on portion size and fat...mainly saturated fat. It really sucks for food guys like us. The good news is my A1C is back down well into the normal range so I guess they won't be needing to cut off any toes any time soon.

Drinking lots of dry white Italian wine & smoking mildish Dominican/Nicaraguan cigars has kept me in the pink of good health in recent years.

    Interesting. Are Italians really white?

But seriously, care to recommend a bottle or two?

I like Ruffino or Bolla pinot grigiot or soave. Torrasella or Santa Margherita is nice, too.

Sorry if I misspelled the names. Ten-32 just left Kasa Kalash a short time ago & I'm a little tipsy.

No carrot juice involved. Ten had a couple high-quality imported beers while I imbibed a few nice Sangiovese reds, a Mai Tai, & a Bohemia cerveza. Great lunch on a beautiful day here in the People's Republik of Illinois.

Was a great day. Only thing missing was a little shooting. I did stray off the diet a bit and had a nice thin crust pizza at a swanky upscale yuppie EYEtalian joynt and a coupla two-tree cold brewskis. Matt, your hospitality was appreciated. Class act located smack dab in occupied territory. Did you notice they had CNN on at the bar?

No, I didn't notice the TV. I was too busy looking at our young barmaid w/ the painted-on black jeans. Mercy.
