    Ok what spares parts

should I have on hand for this ar15. I already do not like the safety lever
it seems to soft for my liking but I am not sure if anything can be done.

Some people will say a while spare bolt I'd say at least extractor and extractor spring, extractor pin, firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, hammer and trigger springs, maybe bolt carrier cam pin

Isn't that the whole bolt? And is it one fits all?

What about a sling? Guess I could use anything.

OK my recommendations for spare parts are:
    A complete bolt
    Firing Pin.
    Firing Pin retainer pin
    Cam pin
    gas tube
roll pin for gas tube removal and install along with the appropriate punch.
    buffer spring.
Wouldn't hurt to have all the little springs and detent plungers. There are kits of these small parts that one can purchase.

I have seen those detent springs and plungers in most "spare parts essentials" kits but can you actually loose one once your rifle is assembled?

Here is a good example of what you need. You can always add more and double up on some of them.

No after building the Anderson lower I would say no. One could "maybe" break one but loose it I doubt it. To me it seems the disconnector, hammer and trigger springs would
be the weakest link in the lower. But that is only my opinion. What I do not like is the feel of the safety selector.

Once assembled no IMO. Taking it apart, possibly. Also they can become the "seeds" that grow into another complete AR15.

You absolutely sure you put in the correct spring and detent plunger? Have you compared it to those on other AR rifles?

Disconnect lever and 3 f/p retainers? Wow do they break or do they run away from home?

Fp retaining pins and extractor pins are the smallest parts you remove for routine cleaning. Could be easily lost.

I still think the detent springs and pins are unnecessary

All the parts for the lower came in separate plastic bags. Individual packets. So no I really did
not pay attention to the springs.

They seem to bend for me and wear out over time. And as pointed out they are small and if you were in outside and dropped one over grass ... good luck finding it.

In some of the stuff I read leading up to this, some of the builders said they used a small dab of axle
grease to help retain the detent springs. Just a thought.

Yeah bud it is built. I got the Anderson lower and spent an hour pushing it together
in my lap. My fingers and thumbs hurt for 3 days. The batteries on my camera died
and have not been replaced. But that is next......

If you do a second one it will only take you 20 minutes

Well I do believe that a good bit of my problem was that I had no real way to hang on the receiver.
I attached it to the upper and then attached the buffer tube and went from there.

I would avoid torquing on the upper when installing the buffer tube, Imho is worth it to get a lower receiver vice block, if your real hard up for cash you could make one out of wood but they aren't that expensive
