    Spanish FR-7

Local Gun shop has an FR-7 in very nice original condition. No price figured out yet but I am expecting LOW... I am wondering if this is one that I should bother with. I have heard they have soft metal and require light pressure rounds. The light pressure rounds is no problem as I hand load just about all of my ammo. So feeding it 110 grain hollow points on the bottom end of the load data would be no problem for me at all. Just wondering if these are worth while. Does anyone here own and shoot one? Are they reasonably accurate? Is there a chance of injury even when using the low pressure rounds?

    Any info helps.

an FR-7 is a suped up spanish 93.

the factory spanish 7.62 loads were loaded to mimic the pressure/recoil out of a Cetme rifle so you can go downhill on loading velocities.

Wikipedia tells me it is 113 grain bullet with a MV of 2600 fps. I can duplicate that pretty easily. My interest is peaked.

no real worries using slightly downloaded .308 loads since most 93 mausers were made around 7x57 .
