They also seem to not understand that the only reason we are not reading about over a dozen members of congress and their aids and others being dead is because they were lucky to have two good guys with guns on the scene. If it were truly a gun free zone, there would have been a lot of dead bodies laying around.

Why not? It's bad enough that Fudds and the MSM call rifles "assault weapons", but then you have the knucklehead GUN OWNERS who use the made up term and even post on message boards and YouTube videos the "definition" of an "assault rifle".

Some examples of clueless idiocy include:

• Hitler coined the term with the Sturmgewehr (which means STORM rifle, not ASSAULT rifle... "ASSAULT" rifle would be "Angriffsgewehr" which would be idiotic since "assault" is a verb, not an adjective).
• Military select fire rifles are assault rifles. Wrong. Military (and civilian) select fire rifles are select fire rifles ... or machineguns. Again, "assault" is not an adjective.

The term "assault weapon" was made up in 1989 for the Roberti-Roos Weapons Control Act and it was the first time that the stupid list of things that "define" an "assault weapon" came about (such as the flash hider, muzzle brake, pistol grip that "conspicuously" protrudes, etc, ad-nauseaum).

How can we expect the MSM to stop using the idiotic, incorrect and illogical term "assault weapon" when GUN OWNERS THEMSELVES not only use the term, but try to DEFINE it with various fairy tales as if it was real?

Hell, don't take MY word for it. Find any pre-1990 or pre-1989 almanac, dictionary or any other source of word definitions and just TRY to find "assault weapon" or "assault rifle". You won't see a thing... cause it's not real.
