Kind of hard to argue that point, but I still prefer the .45.

Just switched to a glock 19 for this reason. Love my compact 1911, but I carry more in the g19 with one spare mag than 3 spare mags of 1911.

Both rounds have their respective place in the Toolbox. 45 ACP is the stuff for home/business defense but the compact 9mm pistols probably make more sense for ccw, imho.

I like both like most everyone else. 9mm cause it's cheaper, .45 cause it let's you know it's there. What I'm not fan of is .40, or .357 sig trying to fill a gap that some think the other 2 can't do.

I use both, reload both, CCW both at times. 90% or more I go with the G19 and 9 mm.

same here, G19 most of the time.

time of year changes what i might lug around. I still like the compactness of a S&W38 bodyguard or my kahr cw40.

full size 1911- maybe if im wearing a longer coat and can carry it in a normal holster. 6" glock 20 , same deal just too much gun to lug around and a 9x21 race gun is unnecessary for any ccw work unless every thug starts wearing full body armor.
