Just a simple one for that nut on the buffer tube.
Does anyone use loketite on them or do I just grunt it on?

The factories stake it. I just put it on " one crank past snug".
One of my ARs I keep it hand tight.

Well I think I will just use your advise. Hand tight + snug.

you can get close to factory by taking a cold chisel and using the corner to lightly dimple it in a couple of places
I am not sure about a cold chisel but I do have a punch that would
work. I am not sure I want to stake it. I think I would rather use loketite.
