    Kalashnikov Concern Developing A Hoverbike

It appears Kalashnikov Concern is developing a drone that a person can fly on, using a joystick to control its movements.

This a a skeletonized version being shown, but it does show a model with a shell attacked. There are a lot of military applications, not to mention being able to cross a mine field unscathed.

Regardless of how it will be used, it would be a fun vehicle when it gets released to the public.

If the price were right, I'd buy one.

    Neat.

Now how much do you want to bet the FAA is going to be neck-deep with licensing requirements for anyone who wants to buy this thing and fly it domestically?

I'm wondering more about air time.
That always seems to be the drawback with these kind of gizmo's
I'd be happier clearing the trees and get more distance

I hadn't thought of that aspect. With electric motors, when the batteries get weak, the rotors tend to slow down rather quickly. That could be a real problem pretty high up....

Thing is, Americans cannot navigate safely on a two dimensional plane. How can we be optimistic about adding a third? But that is cool.
