My take so far;
He's antifa. He and his wife split in public, and she moved to Philippines before his attack. He sends her cash as he won't be needing it in hell after he pulls off his antifa attack. Look at the target demographics, the only place other than a country music concert that has 23k red white and blue supporters is a Trump rally. Anyway, it'd not surprise me one bit to find 0bama and Jarret still run the gov from just a few blocks away from the white house, Trump just thinks he does and his cabinet keeps him thinking he does, and 0bama's planning a coup, using antifa to do the dirty work. Same here. Two family members that were fairly pro-gun (even though mainly hunter/Fudd types) are both saying there need to be serious restrictions on semi-autos now.
I mean, think about it. How better to get conservatives to go along with gun control than to start attacking venues that they frequent, like country music festivals?
All the government needs to do is start sending CIA mind control drones out, using psychotropic drugs to control them, to regularly target NASCAR races and church functions, and conservatives will be crying out to "ban them all" in no time.

What happens though when "law-abiding" conservatives start turning on each other?
Not only will many law-abiding citizens agree to a buyback to comply with the law, but you'll also have neighbors, friends, and family SNITCHING on people who still try to keep onto their semi-auto guns. Calling DHS/ATF's little anonymous tip hotline to report a "domestic terrorist" so they can send heavily-armed SWAT teams in to raid them and seize their guns.
The guns will have to be buried/cached, which makes them pretty useless to be used in a pinch. Because anyone caught trying to bring them to the range or out plinking, or just transporting them from place to place and happen to get pulled over during a routine traffic stop, will find them getting confiscated and the owner charged with a felony.
I know it sounds like a pretty unlikely scenario, but I'm telling you... if these types of terror attacks start becoming frequent (i.e. every other month) occurrences, you're going to have many people (even conservatives) calling for outright repeal of the Second Amendment pretty damn quick.
