    Question S&W Shield 2.0

What do you all think about the 2.0 Shield? From what I've seen and read the standard Shield was pretty decent. The 2.0 version is supposed to have a better trigger and a couple of other "improvements " that actually are.

I can get the standard Shield for about $325 before tax and the 2.0 for about $350. Overall is the Shield a good CCW choice as far as a single stack goes and is the 2.0 worth the difference in price?

    TIA

A couple of the videos I've seen compared it to the Glock 43. The general consensus seemed to be that the 2.0 Shield had better sights, better trigger cost less and with about the same length grip it held more rounds than the Glock. IIRC there was a rebate for the 2.0 that would have sweetened the deal even more but I'm pretty sure that's ended.

I don't know much about them, but for $25 more, I'd go with the 2.0. With the improved trigger, you can't get a new trigger for the standard model for $25.

$25 extra, for the improvements, sounds like a good deal to me.

Thanks Steve. I've watched this and just about every other review out their. Just wanted to see if any of our members had a different experience? The Shield does seem to be well designed and well received by the shooting public. I guess it will boil down to, do I really need another carry gun?

It's not like my G19 or SIG M11A1 are fitting the bill now. I guess as I get older I'm looking for a little more comfort at the cost of capacity.
