I work at a Chevy store, this one could be considered "custom" too ... It has a a bunch of wrong year C2 parts, like seats from a 66; a crate motor; a state issued Vin and builders title; and its not for sale because over the years we've put a ton of money in it! Its just for display and once in a while we take it out for a cruise night and park it next to a new model.
Once in a while it accidentally makes it's way to the Internet with our inventory (like when we change web hosts) and people all over the US go crazy wanting to buy it. I tell them it's not for sale and they tell me that its on our website and we have to sell it, which of course we don't.
I've even had people offer stupid money for it and I tell them its not worth that much; they actually get pissed!
That and the Jaguar XKE they were beautiful

A pale yellow '67 XKE is one of my last two cars I hope to own some day ... the older I get, the less likely it is to happen.

After today, it's all historical.
If I could buy any cars from that time period...a mid-60's corvette stingray AND a Jaguar XKE would be sitting in my garage. Both works of art & performance.
