Never a favorite of mine but as I've gotten older I've learned to appreciate the bizarre look of the '59 Chevy. A neighbor has an El Camino that I catch myself daydreaming about.
Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket???

There's a mechanic here in town that has a '59 Camino sitting at his shop. Needs a bunch of work, but I haven't looked at it close up.

Yeah the neighbor's is a fixer-upper too...but it does have a 348. Those have got to be one of the coolest looking engines ever.

One of my dream cars has always been a '58 Chevy with a 348.

That'll get you a bunch of dirty looks in my parts of the state, LOL. The Vietnamese here fucking HATE the communists. Well at least the old timers do. The problem is that the millennial Viet kids are like all the other youngsters, they don't know shit about history. I always try to talk to the old timers who were ARVNs and get any sort of stories about the war. There was a shop keeper I knew in San Jose who fought in TET 68 and lost most of his squad to snipers. I love talking to vets of foreign wars and hearing about stuff that they experienced.
