    Question Parkinson's medication SFX

Anyone here on Cogentin that can help me answer my question?

I have been taking Benztropine for Parkinson's for about 4 years now and have just now heard of these side effects about blurry vision.

This time last year I decided to quit smoking and went back to church after a decade, and I'm watching the preacher and I blinked, and when I closed my eyes I saw this.

A strange circular pattern of rings around my eyes, this is where they start, but it gets weirder. Only in certain places do they occur and usually they tend to be around people or animals.

Is this common for this pill or am I gaining a gift of some kind?

I am not sure about the pill or people and animals. But 2 to 4 times a year I will get like a very small
Kaleidoscope of color and movement that moves ever so slight across my peripheral view. It can start
in the left eye and move right or the other way. No matter it does end up moving through both fields of view.

Doesn't last long 4-6 minutes or so but it is there. And when this happens to me I can be looking at anything.
But it all ways happens in the day.
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.

    1. Can you partially explain what this kaleidoscope looks like?
    2. I have something similar to this, are these visions separate or the same?
    3. Do you have a relative that visits off and on?

Pertaining to my second question; Should I rule out the Cogentin as the cause of these auras from what you've described?

    1 As I said in post 2.

It is a small swirl of colour. Takes up less than 10% of my field of view.

While you can see this in the field of view it is not really disruptive but
while you can see it you cannot look at it as it will move with the FOV.

Does something of these natures come to mind?

I don't mean to sound rude with this question; "you could just answer "There is someone"", I'm just trying to get a general feeling about what may be causing the cycles. If someone particular is visiting you constantly during Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving etc. all I need to know.

The vision on the left is like what I have off and on...

    Ok

    No

Those are holidays. If someone was visiting you special............why would it be on a contrived day by someone else?

    To answer your question--

I'm trying to disprove that neither the PD or medications are causing my vision anomalies. These aren't actually visions as much as they are afterimage type visions.

Thank you for your answers; I think I may have been given a gift of some kind..

I hope no one here ever gets Dementia! My Dad, God willing will be 89 on 22-Sep. He has had the Dementia for over 5 Years or so, He can no longer Walk without a Walker. We have one of those nice speedy Wheel Chairs to take him around. He has to wear Depends. He has at times forgotten Names of his Granddaughters. I would not wish this on anyone. The best News I have been able to give to him, was the knowledge that they found his Older Brothers Ship, The U.S.S. Indianapolis on Sat. 18-Aug. I had hope they would find her before he Died. If you have not seen the Nicholas Cage Movie that came out on DVD in Netflix last year I hope you will. U.S.S. Indianapolis Men of Courage. I hope your Condition gets better. Paul
