That does look like a good price. Actually, ammo prices seem to be coming down and there is actually ammo out there to buy. I just got 500 rounds of .22 LR at Cabela's (in a special wood box that I repurposed to hold paper clips on my desk on the ship!) for about .06/round. I saw some advertised yesterday down to .05/round. I am sure they won't get back to what it was, but it seems to be getting back to "normal."

DAMN!! I just about $200 on non-essential gun accessories so now I don't have it for ammo. GRRRR!

26.66 cents per round, that's lower than I've seen in a long time.

Looks like the 62 gr. SS109 type is also on sale. Shot this IMI 62 gr. stuff and it is very excellent and the cases are reloadable.

Link to 1200 round case of the 55 gr. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/89...cket-boat-tail

No idea. I saw this posted on the S&W forum and the link there took you right to the ammo ad. I copied the link off the Midway site and pasted it here.

I have found the IMI ammo to be 100% reliable but somewhat inaccurate as fired in multiple AR-15s and a Mini-14. One day I was shooting this ammo in a Mini-14 at 50 yards alternating with Russian steel case ammo. With the Russian ammo I was getting 2 inch groups, with the IMI 4-5 inch groups.

That's a damn good price in today's market. The last time I bought a steel box of that I paid $140 about 2 yrs ago & thought that was a great bargain.

That's odd, I find it to be the other way around. The IMI is a reloadable brass case. I've chronographed it and it is pretty good for shot to shot consistency, far better than any brand of Russian ammo. Now I haven't done it recently, probably 2004 was the last time I did a comparison and chronograph evaluation.

I found it very odd. Not what I expected at all.
