Does tightening up background checks mean if you've ever been depressed and taken medication or seen a doctor? How about if you've ever seen a psychologist or psychiatrist? I can see the slippery slope already....
From my understanding, all these omissions in the background checks can be traced back to obama's "Promise Project," that give states, counties, and/or school systems money grants to overlook, and not report, certain crimes committed by minors. This was implemented by obama and Holder to stop the high incarceration rate of Negro thugs. Cruz wasn't listed on the prohibited llist because of this.

Another thing to thank obama for.

Let it play out. Don't believe anything the CM (Communist Media) is saying.

Remember a while back, when Trump met with Schumer and Pelosi (I forget what they met about....) and after the meeting Chucky and Pelosi were all smiles and giggles claiming that Trump was listening to reason and coming to his senses and doing what they wanted? Then, Trump did exactly what he, originally, said he was going to do and Chucky and Pelosi were left holding the bag.

Right now, this situation is being set up exactly like that was set up. The Commies are all smiles and think they are on winning ground.....

Let's wait and see how it pans out before we pass judgement on Trump's actions.

Trump always plays the long game.

I find it so funny that the same people who are gushing about Trump actually listening to them are the same people calling for his impeachment!

I feel there is more to this than meets the eye, or what we are being told.

Sessions moves to criminalize possession of bump stocks

WASHINGTON — Firearm bump stocks would have to be surrendered, destroyed or made inoperable under a ban proposed Friday by the Justice Department.

Yesterday was 5 months since the FL school shooting. AFAIK bump stocks are still legal. Is a ban still going through the process or has it just faded away?

Seems like their was some kind of review period but I don't see anything on the ATF website beyond that they were looking to propose revisions or some such. No indication anything has actually happened.

Well that's good news. I vaguely remember Trump doing something like this before with some gun law. Said he was going to and then when the smoke cleared just didn't do anything

That involves the FL state ban. I was referring to a federal ban.

And with the NRA doing all it can to protect our second amendment rights, how can we lose?

    "Regulations" shouldn't mean outright banning.....

I'm still conflicted on this one. The 2A doesn't protect the right to own accessories that increase a firearms practical rate of fire so please explain how the NRA is failing, in your opinion as it pertains to the 2A? That being said this will be another "ban" that does nothing. In a way isn't that the best kind of ban?

People are trying to link this to the 2A as some type of infringement. I understand the sentiment but it doesn't apply.
