Post #BoycottNRA: Firms cut ties with gun lobby after Florida shooting

A growing number of US companies have cut ties with the National Rifle Association (NRA) as the gun lobby comes under immense criticism following the last week's mass shooting at a Florida high school.

Several car rental companies, hotels and banks have cancelled the special offers and discounts they have for NRA members.

The moves come amid widespread calls to boycott companies and groups that have ties to the powerful pro-gun group.

Delta and United join list of companies to cut ties with the NRA

Two major airlines. A cybersecurity firm. Six car rental brands. A home security company. An Omaha bank. Companies have scrambled to cut ties with the National Rifle Association over the past couple of days, and the list continued to grow into the weekend.

Yes it is the fault of the NRA, and the kid's parents had nothing to do with it.

Yep, they will regret this. Even non nra members see this as an attack on gun owning patriots.

Scoop: Bank of America to review relationships with gunmakers

Beginning what could become a widespread financial squeeze on gun manufacturers, Bank of America says in a statement to Axios that it is reexamining its relationship with banking clients who make AR-15s.

"We are joining other companies in our industry to examine what we can do to help end the tragedy of mass shootings, and an immediate step we’re taking is to engage the limited number of clients we have that manufacture assault weapons for non-military use to understand what they can contribute to this shared responsibility."

Exactly. I am not a big boycott person, but I will be sending my business to other places than the ones that are deserting the NRA. I am also going to be sending an e-mail or calling the companies, like Enterprise, that I will be directing my business away from. If enough people do this they will rethink their decision. I am not sure I will rethink mine, though, if they are this weak.

...or sue the oil company for making the gasoline... after all, if the car didn't have a military high capacity gasoline tank, none of this would have happened.

I mean, who really needs 30 gallons of gasoline to go to the corner store?

We demand fuel control laws, and we demand them NOW!

I've never used my NRA membership for a discount. Didnt join for a discount on other services from companies such as the ones that left.
