There is a huge Dick's store within walking distance of my home, and I refuse to even breath the air inside that store.
Id make a point to try and shit there every morning

    Another reason to avoid Dick's!

    Mike Bloomberg Loves Dick’s

Just when you think they can't bury themselves in stupid decisions any deeper, they find a bigger shovel.

The grandkids are getting old enough to get serious about fishing, so the last 6 months i've spent a little over a 1000 bucks on fishing stuff ( this fishing gear stuff is a lot like guns, there's so much cool stuff out there that it's hard to decide, so like guns you buy that 400 dollar shimano to go with you new 299 dollar Lews bait caster)don't even get me started on the price of rods

Dicks wasn't even considered as a source.

Of course Bloomberg loves Dick's, they are a sporting goods store that is anti-firearm.

Or is it that Bloomberg loves dicks?

I take it that you're starting to figure out that fishing stores catch more fishermen than you'll ever catch fish. I've found a lot of lures that catch far more fishermen than they catch fish.... Just look in my tackle boxes.

I never could see the point of owning a boat. Just the upkeep and motor maintenance is cost prohibitive to me. Plus, even though I live five miles from the nearest river and closer to some good ponds, boat ramps are few and far between. I do have a 15 foot canoe, with electric trolling motor, and a sit-in fishing canoe, both of which can be launched almost anywhere.

Anyway, you could try for some of those really elusive desert fish; sand catfish, cactus bass, and sagebrush pike.

But, if your wife wants a bass boat.....remember the saying, "Happy wife, happy life."

I live in Florida and I agree. BOAT stands for break out another thousand. My son and I discussed this and decided we will rent a boat for the few times we go out.
