What is the best shotgun choke for clay pigeons? I am talking about clay pigeons as tossed by a low cost thrower in the back yard, not a trap or skeet range. I have been thinking about breaking out my shotgun after not shooting it for 10 years or so. The last time I shot trap I was a little slow getting on target so I have been thinking about getting some full choke inserts for my double. After having one shoulder suffer major rotator cuff damage I am probably even slower than I used to be. Currently I have an improved choke in one barrel and modified in the other. Would it be crazy to go full choke in both barrels? I ask because two choke tubes is about a $50 dollar investment.
