Makes sense. I can see all the gang bangers turning in their "assault weapons". But since many gang bangers are under 18, they can keep their weapons until they turn 18.

Again, makes sense to take rights away from honest people and still doesn't mean a thing that murder is illegal and many just don't listen to that either.

So, the question is, how will the government know what 18-20 year olds have semi-automatic firearms. Wait, don't they have gun registration in Illinois? I guess it can be used for gun confiscation.

I wonder how many of them will surrender their guns? Will IL resort to house-to-house confrontation? This could be a major problem for the police and I'm sure the publicity won't be good for the government if things go extreme.....
