It's interesting some of the things we can come across in our daily lives. Several years ago I was looking around a 2nd hand thrift store, and found the Sunday comic page on my date of birth in 1949. It was from the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Another day I found a a 1949 Reader's Digest for the month I was born.

In 1976 i helped the new owners of a bookstore near the ASU campus i used to frequent clean out the attic and basement of boxes full of old books and magazines. For helping they let me rifle through a few boxes of old National Geographics and take what i wanted. I have issues from november and december of 1941, febuary of 1942, a couple from 1952 my birth year ( with an article on indochina and the french involvement in the war ) and a 1932 and 1938 issue. The ads were interesting, you could buy a chrysler in 1938 for about 900 bucks
