    Stag Arms Quality Control issues

I ordered a Stag arms upper about a month and a half ago and just got around to cleaning it out to go shooting tomorrow. Discovered inside that the rifling is mangled. It looks like an old .303 that had a million rounds though it. This was supposed to be a brand new upper. Tomorrow morning i am going to be giving them a call. Really goddam disappointed. This will put me back another two months.

Here is a pic. This is from the muzzle end.

So a quick update. I got instruction from someone on another site to clean the barrel using solvent and a brush. I had at first only used a brush then a handful of dry patches... Well i did as told And used many patches. The bore no longer looks like it came from Kyhber Pass but it is still pitted. I will post whatever they tell me on the the phone in the morning. Hard to believe they would put something like that in the barrel as a preservative. I would imagine i am past the break in period on the barrel already just from cleaning and I have not fired a shot.

Pretty disappointed. Was getting ready to go shooting tomorrow with my father. At least his diamondback AR never had any problems. I will have to bring something else.

So i got a call from a manager this morning. My angry email got an immediate response. He reminded me of the warranty and told me to go shoot it today. So I cleaned it out the best i could and will go put a hundred or so rounds through it. We will see how it goes. He explained sometimes the chrome plating looks pretty rough but quickly polishes when fired... Lets see. Heading out in an hour or so.
