Most likely normal. I use Google Chrome and even though I have only 4 tabs open, Task Manager shows chrome running 12 programs.

I would guess the extra programs run the ads.

Have you installed an ad-blocker yet?

Malware can come through those unsolicited advertisements as well...

Just to give you a frame of reference, I pulled up TM and it shows 7 "firefox.exe" under processes but I only have 4 windows open.
    Go figure.

If a PC is locking up, usually means it is running out of memory or there's so much data streaming through your CPU it is choking. Could also be heat build up if it is really dusty. Mechanical hard drives, especially ones in lap tops de from heat. The motors spin the disk slower and slower as they wear out. How old is the PC, what maker is the CPU; Intel or AMD?

Really hoped you would chime in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsiB...FF03F1&index=2 It seems to be when it is happening.

Now everything is clear. but for some reason at certain times it just jams. The tm is saying 1.7 mem on 3.8 and 7 on the cpu.....

I use Adblock Plus and forget it's even there... that is until I see the torrent of advertising shit on someone else's computer who isn't running Adblock.
