Forgotten Weapons did a shooting review of one of these on YouTube. Pistol ran flawlessly. Pretty spendy at just under $6,000 but I'd like to have one.

I remember seeing a test run on a .45 ACP Luger submitted to the US Army when they were running the trials that ultimately led to the adoption of the 1911. I remember the pistol being huge for a Luger but it shot well. It was one of two submitted and if I remember right was estimated to be worth a million dollars at the time.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

There is just something about a Luger pistol. IMHO, love them or hate them they are an iconic handgun design. Kind of like a Colt Peacemaker in that you can post a photo of either, even just the silhouette of one and even gun haters will recognize it. A Luger is on my short list to purchase but based on the price tags I see a man needs to do plenty of homework prior to purchase.
