    I would love to get a Savage 99 in .308. It's on my bucket list.

    On my list too. I've looked into them a good bit and Savage made a lot of variations over the years in a lot of calibers. IIRC it's was a Model 99 chambered .250-3000 Savage that was the fastest round going at the time. Pretty well designed firearm with quite a history.
