If you had to choose between the S&W Shield 2.0 and the Sig P365 which would you pick and why? The Sig is newer and I've seen a few negative issues reported like firing pin drag/ broken firing pins, wear on the barrel etc., but let's assume these are fairly isolated issues and get resolved as production continues, much like a lot of other firearms models.
Just shopping locally I'm seeing the Shield come in about $100 cheaper. Size wise their isn't that much difference. Weight wise the Sig is maybe 3oz lighter. The Sig carries two more rounds than the Shield. A couple of my guys at work have the Shield but in .45 ACP not 9mm. Still they are very happy with them.
I'm kinda leaning towards the Shield as its been around a while and seems to have had the bugs worked out and it's $100 cheaper.
On the other hand I just got my first Sig pistol last year, Sig M11-A1 and it's very, very nice! Maybe the extra $100 for the P365 would be money well spent?
Just wondering if the members had any experience with either platform you'd like to share?
