I believe that tax return stupidity was started by Tricky Dicky Nixon. No law or anything other than he was just showing his stupid colors when offering his returns for public viewing. He still got run out of office. Since then many but not all presidents have offered their returns. Why, who knows. There is no law forcing a presidential candidate to release their confidential returns, so Trump is in his rights, and of course the liberal media is trying to stir things up. I am sure the jerk in Rhode Island is backed by some news outlet, and knows it is a way for the person to get their face in the news.
