New Jersey Bans Guns That Hold More Than 10 Rounds

State Bans Guns That Hold More Than 10 Rounds, Citizens Told To Surrender Them or Become Criminals
The state of New Jersey, which is known for its strict gun laws, has tightened regulations with new legislation that gives citizens 180 days to surrender all firearms and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds —and if they are caught with the newly illegal contraband, they will be treated as criminals.

The new rules are courtesy of Assembly Bill 2761, which was recently passed by the state. The bill’s purpose is to reduce “maximum capacity of ammunition magazines to 10 rounds,” and the text states that citizens will have 180 days to comply:

Wow. It's one thing to ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, but quite another to ban the guns that are capable of holding more than ten rounds.

I wonder if those who refuse to comply will be visited by Gestapo officers and arrested.

I'm sure Molon Labe won't be on their minds.

If they surrender without a fight, then they deserve what they get.

This Bill is going to make the people turn against the police.

I sure hope someone files an immediate lawsuit against this. This is confiscation of legally owned property via fiat. California has had lots of shitty gun control bans, but every time they try to confiscate stuff that's already owned, a judge puts an injunction on it, ruling that you cannot confiscate people's property that they acquired legally.

SARCO still has locations in New Jersey.
There are some wonderful old gun collections in New Jersey.
At one time some very good importers were based there and so some very rare firearms were purchased by collectors.
This could be a very important court battle!
