    Thumbs up 3,000,000rds fired

In 40 years. Was watching a video on Jerry Miculek's YouTube channel and he mentioned shooting more than 3,000,000 rounds over the last 40 something years. I need to watch it again to make sure but I believe he said that was competition and or training. If so than who knows how many rounds total he's fired just for fun/non-training/competing?

Anyway, by my math that's 205rds fired every day, for 40 years. That's 14,600 days at the range. I'm sure he probably fired a lot more than 205rds in a day but that's still a lot of trigger time!

That is between $12 and $21 million if all he shot was .22LR, or about $500,000 a year in ammo. I hope he is sponsored!

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

He's been on the S&W shooting team for 25 of those years.

    Check your maths. .22 isn't over $1 a round

That's easy to believe when you watch him shoot, that level of speed and accuracy doesn't come from occasional shooting. I shoot with a couple guys who compete in USPA matches locally, they shoot from 15 to 20 thousand rounds a year.

And that is why I never finished an engineering degree! With the decimal in the right place it is about $4,500 a year! I hate decimals!

Was reading a Reddit post where someone asked Jerry how many rounds he fires in an average year?

    https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/commen...pecial_forces/

His response was "45,000-60,000, give or take 20". I presume he meant 20,000 and not 20. At 60,000 a year that's still over 150rds a day every single day of the year. I can easily shoot 150rds per range visit but not 7 days a week. Even figuring 1,000rds a week he must be shooting multiple days each week. At Walmart prices for 9x19 maybe $200 bucks a week.

Pretty sure some of his videos where he's talking and showing firearms inside I've seen reloading equipment and components plus an entire wall of shelves covered with different boxes of ammo.
