It's interesting to note that John Hinckley (the dude who shot Pres. Reagan) and the "inspiration" for NICS would have passed a NICS check if they had them back then.

All this "gun control" stuff is pure bullshit. We don't need "laws" to keep us from acting like animals with a gun, and the criminals don't give a shit about the law anyway.

Therefore, there are only 1 or 2 possibilities:

    1: Legislators are brain dead.
2: Legislators know all this full well and their true aim is a disarmed America, not "public safety".

Of course, we all know it's #2........ with some #1 tossed in.

I understand the law Cabela's violated was a state law and not a federal law. Delaware has a similar law in that the BP firearm must be purchased through a gun dealer and can't be bought online. However, no paperwork is necessary for purchasing a BP firearm from the dealer.

IIRC, DE doesn't allow air rifles or pistols to be ordered through the mail either. They must be purchased through a store that sells them.

Thank goodness, MD, follows federal laws and has no statute concerning the sale of BP firearms.
