But she is correct, whether we like it or not. Think about a case like OJ Simpson, where through legal trickery (in my opinion) the jury decided that the DA had not proven his case beyond a reasonable doubt, but most thinking people can tell that it was most likely true (remember, people are found guilty or not guilty, they are not found innocent). Based on what I know now I do not think Kavanaugh did this or was involved but there could be evidence presented to change that assessment to something different that would make him, in my mind, unqualified. Short of rape or murder I am not sure that we should exclude someone who has lived an exemplary adult life because of stupid things they did as a minor as it shows that he learned and grew. Isn't this one of the tenets of liberalism now, that people change?
