Question Price Check AA Uzi (semi-auto)

What's the opinion on value, desirability, reliability, etc., on the following?

Action Arms Uzi in 45ACP in hard case with both 45 & 9mm bolts, barrels and two each 45 mags and 9mm mags. Overall condition is excellent. Folding stock not wood. Seems like I've read that these were well made but might be mistaken. Don't know if there is a source for 45 mags with more than 10rd capacity but with the 9mm conversion I guess that's not a big deal.

You may want to check uzitalk.com on that one.

AA (Action Arms) was the importer of the real deal Israeli UZIs. These are straight from the maker in Israel.
If the 45 conversion is also AA then it adds value.

There are 45 mags out there (Gunbroker) but they are pretty much limited to 22rds though the mags are much longer than the 32rd 9mm mags
The AA UZI is the most desirable of all makes, they are very reliable and accurate. Some people have been amazed at how accurate they are and think they may have a special one.

Don't know really? This is at an upcoming auction. Maybe north of $1500?

$1500 as starting list price will get people's attention.
Check out gunbroker.com to see what people are listing for just a 9mm Action Arms UZI. Notice that most of these guns have no bids.
Good pictures are a must, and they must be clear.
On the receiver what caliber is listed? is it 9mm or .45? or does it saw 9mm, .45, .22? List it as what the receiver says with the other caliber conversion as included.

The multi-caliber one I have is marked: 9mm/45ACP/.22LR. Mine is a Group Industries Model A.

Great shooter and because of the design of the bolt, my go-to firearm for using up questionable ammo.

On my list of those that you won't be able to pry out of my cold dead hands.

    I built a model A a few years ago on a BWE receiver .
Love it. I built it as a pistol and so I switch it back and forth. I can also legally have the 16" barrel on it WITH detachable wood stock.
I have it set for 9mm and .45 and both work flawlessly. I had some problems earlier this year with jamming but found it to be the magazines I was using. They were surplus but somehow on just those 3 mags the bolt was trying to feed the second bullet down in the mag.

Thanks. The auction is almost two weeks off and it has bids over $1,200 already. Figure in the buyers premium and sales tax and we're looking at $1,500 already plus 4 hours R/T to pick it up. If I want to check it out the day before, actual auction is internet only then that's another four hours R/T. It's at the point now where I probably won't consider bidding on it.

Many bidders forget the buyer's fee, and if internet, the shipping and transfer.

Yes all totaled, way too much.

That is why I like gun broker there is no buyers fee .
Just shipping maybe 3% credit card fee and then there is the transfer once it gets to your dealer.

For $1500 you could build your own high quality UZI.

If you wanted the "original" than I will shut up, but for that price or cheaper you can build a reliable shooter that will last a lifetime.

Not something I was looking for or really wanting. Just ran across the auction and thought that if it was a well made firearm I might bid on it.
