After today, it's all historical.
Good info. I don't fly as often as I used to, but I always travel with a handgun in the checked luggage. My family and I usually fly Delta. They have never really given me any problems. There was one time when one of the flight attendants accosted me on the plane prior to the initial taxi to the runway, stating that I was supposed to declare to the pilot that I had the hand gun on me as I boarded the plane. I was pretty pissed off but maintained my cool, asking her why I had to declare a firearm while I boarded the plane if it was in the check baggage under the bird. She just got real confused, apologized for disturbing me and left. No explanation or anything. Point being, no matter what they do, reply respectfully and calmly. Just my thought.
