    Thumbs up Another Hi-Power

Picked up this Argentine FM pistol today. New in the box, still got the grease inside. Best I can tell it's considered a license built model. Argentina made their Hi-Powers under license from FN until 1989. They continued to make them starting with the FM90 in 1990 followed by the FM95 in 1995. You can tell those later, unlicensed models because they stopped contouring the slides like an HP and instead made them similar to a 1911. They also went with coarser/wider slide serrations.

Based on that info mine should be part of the licensed production version and is essentially a direct copy of the 1965 FN version. Supposedly they were made off FN plans to FN standards and are considered the equal of the FN produced pistols.

At least I believe that's correct. I've been eyeing this gun at a LGS and researching it off and on for a couple of months. Got another bonus at work yesterday so figured I'd go ahead and get it.

Sorry about the upside down pic. PB doesn't seem to be working correctly or maybe it's just me?
