Some of the news articles I read earlier tonight said that many of the illegals going through breaks in the fences, ducked back into Mexico when more B.P. agents showed up, rather than be caught.

We need to be using the Area Denial System all along the border on high. Right before it's in range, we need land mines.
Trump plays the immigration issue like a fiddle. Even talked about the troops being able to shoot rock throwers. But now that the election is over......
I wonder what the rules of engagement are on that other border our military patrols? That pesky 38th parallel one.
At this point I have to wonder if Trump is just a talking head. He puts on a great rally, but when it comes to the budget, illegals, or any other critical issue his performance falls far short of his promises.
Just read that most of the troops Trump rushed to Texas are 1500 miles from the border. What's the old saying -- fool me once...

And Trump is doing what exactly? I believe he lets in more illegals every year than Obama.
Trump sending troops to TX was nothing more than a stunt to get out the vote. I don't think we will hear much more about the caravan as they are quietly let into the country by Trump. Last April we had a smaller caravan group of about 1500 and out of this group about 250 were given "amnesty" so it is easy to extrapolate an amnesty number for the current group.
