    2018 deer hunting pics

well. There he is. I got there and blew the caller 4 times and it came barreling out of the woods. I dropped it in its tracks. a tad over 100 yards shot. Absolutely perfect situation.

    Congratulations! Nice little spike buck.

Nice buck. I wish you could come down here and thin out the herd a little. No natural predators and they are as plentiful as mosquitoes on a hot summer day.

Very nice. A guy shot an 8 pointer at my place last week. I have been too busy to go to my own back yard every weekend.

I do my shooting with a camera

Not that I have anything against hunting it's just that my woods has become pretty much a sanctuary for deer during hunting season
Has been since before I bought it. Works out good for everyone really and everyone pretty much respects it that way
There are stands all around it so coming in and out they're fair game but once inside they have a place to relax
These two have gotten used to me through the summer clearing trails.

They look about the same age as your spike buck
I can get within 20 yards and they just watch me go by even follow me around a little
I think they like the trails. I'm seeing rubs along them and hoping to find some sheds come spring

You have some nice tender meat there.

So when you do get around to it you will have your pick of the best one. I would be putting down food and mineral licks

I've been putting out apples various places around the trails
I've cleared a ticket of very old Bittersweet vines to form a circle

It's pretty close to the center of the woods so with sun and a wind break it should be a good place for them in really cold weather
I shared the pic with some neighbors and they were surprised at the number as most haven't been seeing many
I'd be happy with a few sheds

Nice pics, Otto. You have a beautiful spread over yonder, I know.

I don't hunt and have no desire to. I'm not against hunting, but since I don't care for deer meat, there is no reason for me to do so.
