Funny yet supremely sad is that many of the "mass shootings" have taken place in the state with the most restrictive firearm laws in the nation, and the morons in charge figure more laws will solve the problem. Again, why don't they just make murder and attempted murder illegal? Wouldn't that work better???

    Meanwhile in Chicago:

Powerful Chicago Alderman Ed Burke Charged With Attempted Extortion
    https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/poli...503849391.html

Burke turned himself in on Thursday and was seen entering the federal courthouse downtown with his attorneys. He was given a $10,000 bond and was ordered to surrender his passport and the 23 firearms the government said he had in his possession.
    ...........
This year will mark a political milestone for Burke, his 50th year as 14th Ward alderman. He followed in his father’s footsteps in 1969 and has easily won re-election over and over from his Southwest Side ward.

Burke mounted an unsuccessful county-wide race in 1980 challenging Richard M. Daley for the Democratic nominee in the Cook County State’s Attorney race.
For peace of mind, resign as general manager of the universe
