    After today, it's all historical.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

I bought mine when they were first imported from China in the 70's. Mine is in great condition. A broomhandle guy at a gun show told me mine was owned by a high ranking police official because he inscribed his name on it (in Chinese, obviously) and only those people high up in the force were allowed to do that.

Mine's in 9 mm., but I've never fired it yet (and probably won't). I take it out and caress it and oil it every so often.

I was going to be mad that you didn't take it on one of our outings! But I can't be mad if you don't shoot it either! I would have love to have seen it, though.

I'm sorry I didn't show it to you when I had the chance. Since I never shoot it, I forget about it most of the time. It just sits in the safe and reigns supreme over the rest.....

I did take it totally apart and oil it when I first got it. As long as you follow the directions in the booklet I bought, separately, it's pretty simple to do. It's amazing how everything just slides into something else and locks up nice and tight....no screws at all except in the grips. A true work of engineering art.
