So, what did you think of them? They sold out of the 64-5s and 64-6s for a while and appear to have a new bunch available. I have been considering ordering one but the price seems a bit high, especially when shipping and transfer fees are added to the price. Am I right about that?

What I’m seeing at AIM right now are 64-3 and 64-6. I prefer the 64-3 as it has the hammer mounted firing pin and doesn’t have the MIM hammer and trigger of the -6. I also like the shape of the cylinder latch thumb piece. The 64-3 example that show is of post 1981 manufacture since they dropped the pinned barrel in 1982.
The price isn’t bad as just about any functioning S&W revolver will bring $400. I prefer my standard barrel M64 as I like the way the 4” balances with the lighter barrel but that’s just me.
