THe rifle the kid is pointing to.. I still have one of those. It worked very well when I was a kid. There is an internal seal that no longer holds pressure and I cant get to it to replace it.

Its a .22 pellet rifle that takes 2 C02 cartridges. Feeds from a tubular magazine but is a bolt action where a little feed lever reaches up and a pellet feeds in to it from the tubular mag, then is brought down into the chamber and is pushed in farther by a rod-like bolt.

Did anybody but me notice the Smith & Wesson add for the model 29 .44 magnum for all of $140 bucks? Damn, would be nice to have a time machine.

I caught that, now before '68 you could mail order that and have it dropped off at your door right?

Yes. Prior to 1968, you could order almost any gun and have it sent to your home address.

    Wink

I used to shoot my Ruger 10/22 rifle in the basement of my parents house when I was in HS. I made a backstop of old phone books and a wood skid. I also sometimes shot my GI .30 Carbine down there....of course this only happened when they weren't home.
