    "Easily Converted"law suit...bumpstock related

    https://reason.com/2019/07/03/relyin...es-are-illegal

I tried to remove the tracking info and leave the link.

    Excerpt:
The plaintiffs say manufacturers broke the law by producing rifles that were compatible with accessories that facilitate rapid firing.

Therefore, they argue, AR-15s are themselves illegal, since the federal definition of machine guns includes firearms that "can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger."

Amazing how some will pervert a law, which in itself is unconstitutional.

I hope this doesn't lead to a graphic demonstration of the real reason the second amendment was added to the law of the people controlling their government.

This whole lawsuit doesn't make any sense, therefore, the Dims will go for it wholeheartedly.

The problem is that no matter how insane the lawsuit really is, all you need is a libtard judge to preside over it, and it's all gonna go south from there....

Well, it's a lawsuit against the manufacturer; a civil suit, so it will not have any force of law. But if they win, it could set a precedent towards "easily converted" semi-autos for anti-gun legislation.

Let's face facts, ARs are easy to convert to full auto. AKs are also fairly easy to convert. They don't have to hit us with the "easy to restore", just the "easy to convert".

Almost any semi-auto can be converted to full auto. Tha bumpstock ban has opened a whole new avenue to ban by "determination" by the ATF instead of legislation by Congress.

It really doesn't matter as long as the courts allow AT and unconstitutional F and the congress step all over the constitution. "Shall not be infringed" is pretty specific making all these firearm laws as legal as voting poll tax.

The "speed" with which a gun should be fired as the definition of "full auto" still says "single activation (pull) of the trigger".
Even with a bumpstock, the trigger is activated multiple times.

What IS the definition of "easily converted"? If I snap off the bottom of a 15 round pistol mag and drop in a block to limit it to 10 rounds, is that "easily converted" back to full capacity?? (not that I would ever DO something as insulting as that).
