    Worst idea ever. What happens if a soldiers weapon malfunctions and he can't use another soldiers that is wounded or dead? Same with my wife not being able to use mine ect.... Lets outlaw crime instead.

    They'll figure all this out when lives are lost in the type of situation you mentioned. Too bad they don't have any foresight....

    What a great weapon, from our enemy's point of view. One hack and you have disabled your opponent. One hack and you call in an air strike on the American position.

    In civilian use, as 1 Pat said, what if your spouse or child needs your weapon? What if the government goes democrat hate and they turn your weapon off remotely?

    Just what we need. Small arms that can be rendered inoperable by an EMP pulse, HERF gun, directed energy microwave weapon, or the like.
