After today, it's all historical.
That's a cool story, but it was kinda click bait. The story was fascinating, but it had NOTHING to do with the development of Ruger's 22 pistol, other than the fact that the downed pilot had a Type 14 Nambu. I thought there was some sort of direct connection between the events on the island and the development of the classic American .22 pistol. That's like saying "here is some crazy event that happened and one of the people had a gun and YEARS LATER, completely unconnected with that event, someone else got the same make and model of that gun and thought it would be a good platform to develop a new handgun in the future'.
