I am assuming that a bird's head handle would fall into the round butt category and if that is the case, then I would go with the round butt. I had a Cimarron Thunderer in .45 LC years ago and loved the way it felt in my hand. I have nothing against the square butt revolvers but I preferred shooting my Thunderer over any other revolver my guys had. I sold it to get funds for a STI 1911. I love my STI but really regret getting rid of that pistol.
