After today, it's all historical.
I have a little med kit, similar to the IFAK I carry in the Army, that I keep in my range bag. There is probably more in there than I will need but you can never be too sure. I also think its important to not only know how to handle the occasional cuts, scratches, and bad bruises, but also know how to give CPR. I had a recent experience that kind of surprised me. During Halloween we were walking towards our van getting ready to call it a night when I came across about seven people standing around an older lady lying on the ground. When I asked what is going on one guy, who turned out to be her son, said she just fell on the ground and he wasn't sure if she was breathing. I asked if anyone knew CPR. Not a single one of those adults admitted to knowing CPR. I did CPR until the paramedics showed up, but I don't know if she made it. I don't know how long she was laying on the ground before I showed up but I was kind of pissed off that know one knew what to do. I actually felt like an adult.
