In 1964, we went on a family vacation using a car very much like this one. We towed a Holiday Rambler travel trailer that had a double axle, two 20 lb. propane bottles, shower, full kitchen(for that time), and could have slept 6 people. At that time, this car was 7 years old and our mother drove this rig northbound on then 2-lane Coast Hiway 1 in CA from LA to SF. A woman alone with two pre-teen kids.

My dad had a Plymouth Valiant (I think... I was a kid then) that had 5 oval buttons for the transmission (P,R,N,D,L). 'Til this day I pronounce it "prin-dill".
