    It's a 28 cylinder Pratt and Whitney R-4360 radial engine.

    These were used in a Corsair variant built by Goodyear the F2G Super Corsair.

    A corn cob engine is just a stack of 4 ordinary radial engines on a common crankshaft. More cylinders = more power. Simple.
