Probably. As I said before, the two piece really didn't become mainstream until the 1940s and then they were pretty modest by today's standards. The Lingerie in the 1920s was pretty risque and more 'modern' (it really was the roaring 20s)

If I remember right belly buttons were especially shameful and the sight of one was immediately boner inducing

Remember that in the 1880s, the sight of a woman's ANKLES would set your heart a racing! LOL

Well in the middle east today the sight of a womans hair so so obscene that women wear hajabs on shampoo bottle labels. you have to then wonder if Iranian adolescents are beating off to panteen ads in smuggled magazines.

Actually, they masturbate to the centerfold in Farm and Livestock Monthly Magazine.

It really was a wild time......short skirts, heavy drinking to protest prohibition, nudity in movies....a lot of the moral codes and censorship in movies and magazines that we take for granted now, were started in the '30s cuz of the things that went on in the Roaring '20s.
Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket???

There is a funny story about that.
In 1969, Mariette Hartley guest starred in "All Our Yesterdays" a Star Trek:TOS episode. Gene Roddenberry was not allowed at that time to show her navel. He made up for it four years later when Hartley co-starred in his movie "Genesis II" when he gave her TWO navels.

Belly buttons were banned for TV in the 1960's. Notice that "I dream of Jeanie" had no naval visible.

In the past 121 years of her life, this is the absolute best that Pelousy has over looked.

And it's a crying shame that she turned 78 in February.

I know what you mean, but I'll bet she's glad she made it to 78. The alternative doesn't have a whole lot going for it.

Very difficult to look at pictures of actresses that I used to drool over. Getting old is nice, but it is a joke from above as to what it does to our looks.
