Something like this would have been inconceivably illiberal three years ago, and been a source of enormous controversy and outrage. Today, the extension hardly made the news.
The Biden administration has once again extended the Covid emergency declaration another 90 days, which continues to grant government vast powers without Congressional approval. Under a state of emergency, the Constitutional structure of the US is effectively suspended and the country remains on a wartime footing. This announcement was not controversial, and, like the above, it barely made the news.

Bill 36, which was drafted in secret, will give the BC Minister of Health the ability to appoint College Boards that are required pass bylaws mandating vaccines for any illness the government chooses as a condition of keeping professional licenses. The government may censor anyone challenging its directives and threatens disciplinary action and the potential loss of licenses. Failure to comply could result in the search and seizure of property and blocking the owner from access to their premises. If a person provides false or misleading information, they may be fined up to $200,000 and jailed for up to 6 months for each offense. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario suggested that any unvaccinated patients should be put on psychiatric medication.
