George Washington Special On History Channel

Tonight, on History Channel, there's a special about George Washington's life and times. It's a 3 part mini-series that starts tonight at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

    The previews looked great.

Libturds, and Commucrats, will hate everything about this show. That, alone, should be motivation enough to watch it....

Part of me wonders what kind of reality show this will be. Maybe "George Washington" is a trailer park resident who runs a small factory making talking dildos and only happens to share the name of our first president.

As long as it wasn't done by the npr asshat who did the ww2 and viet nam series.
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"

No idea about who that is, but the program appeared to be very factual and realistic. There were a few places where there could have been some liberal input, but it didn't happen.

Overall, I have been pretty impressed with it so far.

The mini-series is over now. It was an excellent program on who Washington was and why he did all the things he did.

It portrayed him as a reluctant politician who thought only of serving the nation he helped create and why it has lasted so long.

No liberal BS in this at all.

I'd give this show an "A" rating.

The guy who played Washington is a British actor. I remember him mainly from starring in the movie "Young Sherlock Holmes" which came out many years ago.

I thought it was a decent series except for all the damn commercials.

Actually, it's fitting as Washington was born a British subject and served in the colonial Army under British command.

After all, all the Founding Fathers were born British subjects and didn't become Americans until the Declaration of Independence.

The only down side I saw was that they used Bill Clinton as a speaker who talked about Washington's character.... He wouldn't know anything about character except what hid teleprompter told him to say. He's totally devoid of it, himself.

Klinton would be the exact opposite to Washington as far as presidents go.

    Yes, to all the above.

I believe the term is "polar opposite".

One was a man of integrity, wisdom, leadership, physical courage, and who placed his new country and it's citizens above all else, including himself.

The other is...none of those things.
