Mag ban imminent in Washington state - please help NOW

Saw this on another site today.

The ban was defeated by missing the deadline so Dems have filed a new budget bill with a buy back to keep this mag ban alive.

They vote this Tuesday so please take action on or before that day. Here is a link,

House Bill 2947 includes much of the same language as the previous standard capacity magazine ban bills that failed to meet the crossover deadline. In order to bypass legislative rules, anti-gun legislators have added a “buy-back” provision in order to make this an appropriations bill that is not subject to the same deadlines. Additionally, the title of the bill has been changed in an effort to limit amendments on the floor.

As resurrected, HB 2947 bans the manufacture, possession, sale, transfer, etc. of magazines that hold more than fifteen rounds of ammunition. It appropriates funds for the State Patrol to conduct a “buy-back.” Those who own non-compliant magazines prior to the ban are only allowed to possess them on their own property and in other limited instances such as at licensed shooting ranges or while hunting. Restricted magazines have to be transported unloaded and locked separately from firearms and stored at home locked, making them unavailable for self-defense.

Again, please plan to attend the committee hearing if you are able, and also contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE HB 2947.

There lies one of the major problems with the legislative process. Amendments, that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the original bill are allowed to be tacked on, thereby camouflaging an attempt to sneak some onerous law past most people's scrutiny.

This is how the Commucrats work. They camouflage an unconstitutional law behind smoke and mirrors in the hope of getting it passed. Most of the time, if it stood alone as a separate bill, it would be soundly defeated.

    NEVER trust a Commucrat.

I am learning that it has always been tough. It is easy to give up liberty and freedom, it is hard to remain free as there is always someone or some government that thinks your body is worth more enslaved than free. This is because free people are harder to control than slaves or those beholden to government for everything.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

It seems that fewer and fewer "americans" want to be free anymore, or certainly have a different idea of freedom than i do
