The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals hands Trump Win in Sanctuary City Fight

A federal appeals court on Wednesday handed a major win to the Trump administration in its fight against “sanctuary” jurisdictions, ruling that it can deny grant money to states that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

It's about time the courts started to come to their senses.

I'm glad this applies to states as well as cities. Maybe MD will realize it's "sanctuary state" status has consequences.

Funny, it was OK for Tricky Dicky to withhold money from states that didn't follow in lock step with his 55 MPH mandate. Indiana was the last state to capitulate in fear of losing highway funding.

Glad they agree with the President.

I believe the feds did the same thing in getting states to lower the DUI threshold to .08. Now there is a push for 0.05

they also pushed the same deal on raising the drinking age to 21. there is too much access to the courts, without any consequences.
